How To Crochet A Bracelet With Beads – Crochet Tutorial

How To Crochet A Bracelet With Beads – Crochet Tutorial

To make this bracelet, you’ll need a 3,5 mm
crochet hook or a US 4/E crochet hook. You’ll need a 0,75 mm crochet hook or a small crochet
hook to fit into the hole of your bead. And you’ll need these beads. I used acrylic beads,
they are a little less than 1 cm across in diameter. Then you will need some yarn. I
used 100 % nylon yarn for this but it doesn’t have to be. The only thing that it is important
is that it does not split. You begin by adding beads to your yarn. You will be adding 5 beads
to your yarn. So just insert your hook into the bead like this, and wrap your yarn around
the hook and pull tight. And pull the yarn through like this. And do this with 5 beads.
So I already know that I’ll be using 20 stitches in my bracelet. You might be needing a little
bit more or less, but to make sure you can add more than 5 beads on the string, you can
add 8 beads on the string to make sure. Start by making a slip knot. And now you’ll make
2o foundation single crochet. And you do this by chaining 2 and insert your hook into the
1st chain, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull throug 1 loop. YO, pull through 2 loops. You have
made you first foundations single crochet. And now you’ll insert your hook into the chain
on the opposite side of the stitch. So go under here, YO, pull up a loop. YO, pull through
1 loop. YO pull through 2 loops. And you have made 2 foundation single crochets. And again,
you insert your hook into this chain stitch on the opposite side of the stitch….right
here, YO, pull up a loop, YO pull through 1 loop on your hook, yo pull through 2 loops
on your hook. 1 more time: insert your hook into this stitch, YO, pull up a loop, YO pull
through 1 loop, YO pull through 2 loops. And I’ve got 5 and I’ll continue until I have
20 foundation single crochets. And as you work, you will simply push your beads down
the string of yarn until you need them, that’s not yet. And now I have made fdc row of 20
stitches. And the way you can see how many stitches you made is by turning it like this,
and you count the v-stitches on top of the row. And after you have made 20 stitches,
make sure it goes around your wrist. I know that this fits me, but if your’s doesn’t fit….and
you need to make it bigger, then add 4 stitches and if you need to make it smaller then make
only 16 fsc’s. It needs to be a multiple of 4. After you have made sure that it fits around
your wrist, you join in the first stitch with a slip stitch. Now it is time to begin our
broomstick lace pattern, so you start by chaining 1, and pull up the loop on your hook until
it’s about 1″ high. This can be a little bit fiddly at first but you’dd get used to it,
so you insert your hook into the next stitch, YO, pull the loop just through the stitch,
like this. YO again and pull through the loop you just made adn pull it up, so it’s also
1″ high. You’ll need to make 4 of these loops, so go into the next stitch, insert your hook
into the stitch, pull up a loop – and then YO, pull through the loop you just made, and
pull it up – until it’s about 1″ high. 1 last time; insert your hook into the stitch, YO,
pull up a loop, YO pull through the loop you just made and pull it up, like this. So now
you have made 4 of these long loops, now you yarn over and pull through all 4 loops and
chain 1. And this was the first half of your broomstick lace motif. So now you’ll be working
4 single crochet’s into these 4 loops that you just made. We’ll just make regular single
crochet’s. 1-2-3-4. And now pull one of your beads as close as it can get. and then chain
1. And your bead will go to the other side of your project and that’s just fine. Like
this….Now you make 1 more broomstick lace motif; you start by inserting your hook into
the next stitch, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through the loop you just made and pull it
up until it’s about 1″ high adn do this 4 times. And now your have made 4 long loops,
again yo YO and pull through all the loops on your hook – and chain 1. And now you’dd
be working 4 single crochets through the 4 loops. So you won’t be working through this
one, but through these 4 long loops, 1-2-3-4. And again, pull up the bead as close as it
can get, and ch 1, so the bead goes to the backside of your work. And now make another
motif. So insert your hook into the next stitch, pull the yarn just through, YO and pull up
a 1″ high loop. And do this 4 times…..YO, pull through all 4 loops on your hook and
chain 1.And again 4 single crochets through these 4 loops. And pull your bead, and chain
1. And another motif. YO, pull through all 4 loops, CH 1, 4 single crochets in the 4
long loops, pull the bead close, CH 1 and work your last motif into the next 4 stitches.
CH 1 and make your 4 single crochets into the 4 loops
and pull the last bead close and CH 1. SO
before you join the round with a SS, you’ll make 1 more long loop in this round to kind
of patch the hole between the motifs of this round. So you’ll make 1 more long loop into
the same stitch as you worked your first long loop into, so like this – at the base of the
motif. Make this long loop, and the you join to the first single crochet of the round,
like this – with a SS….and just pull the yarn through all the loops on your hook. For
the next round, you start by chaining 1 and now you will be single crocheting in the top
of the single crochets of the previous round. So you’ll start by making 1 SC into each of
the next 4 stitches. And then you skip the ch-1 from the previous round and then your
work 4 SC’s into the next motif. And again yous skip the ch-1 sp with the bead and work
1 SC into each of the enxt 4 stitches. And into the next 4, and into the last 4 stitches.
And then you skip the enxt bead and ch-1 sp and join the round with a SS in the first
sc of the round. So like this. And now you can kind of push the beads to the right side,
like this……And if you want, you can just fasten off now and use the bracelet as it
is or you can make the wider version that I’ll show you in a bit…….
