Colgante flor abstracta (arcilla polimérica) | ELEOJOTA00

Hello! in today’s video you are going to learn to make this polymer clay pendant
in the shape of an abstract flower To make the pendant I used
the colors you see on screen: yellow, green, made by mixing
two parts blue, one part white and six and a sixteenth part yellow,
and I added a little bit of white;
and violet, made by mixing four parts white, two parts
blue, three parts red and one sixteenth yellow, and then I added a
little bit of white and a little bit of black to make lighter or
darker hues Start with a light green medium thickness sheet of clay and cut thin strips about two
millimeters thick. Cut another stripe of the darker green and place it
next to the previous one as straight as possible. Cut another strip of the same width of light green and place it next to the other one and continue cutting alternatively
thin strips of light and dark green clay you will get a striped sheet cut the ends straight and put some parchment paper on top and burnish with a card
to remove the seams between the lines Do not press too much not to deform
the lines at this point it is not necessary to
completely remove the seams since afterwards you will burnish more to remove them all Now cut strips of the same
thickness as before but perpendicular and place them alternating colors
with the rest of the sheet this way you create a checkerboard pattern cut another line and shif it a little bit to alternate the
colors continue repeating this
process with the rest of the sheet to get a checkerboard pattern when you finish the whole sheet
put some parchment paper on top and burnish once more to remove
all the seams between the squares try not to push too hard not deform the pattern Now prepare another dark green sheet about the same size as your
checkerboard sheet and calculate the placement of your pendant and now we’re going to use a magnet assemble the necklace you need a tool or a
cutter to cut a circle the same diameter of the magnet, for example these Sculpey tools Cut a circle and remove the interior and now place the patterned sheet on top of the plain color sheet to get a little more thickness and cut with your cutter keep in mind that you don’t have to cut a circle on the bottom sheet to place the magnet cut off the excess with your blade Now let’s make the following
decorative element of the pendant Using the three shades of
violet and three circular cutters of consecutive size, take the lightest color and the smallest cutter and press the sheet as you see on screen to get a concave effect Press carefully and insist on the edges until you cut
completely your sheet leave it inside the cutter to bake and repeat the same process with the
medium and large cutters and the medium and dark color clay take a dark violet thin sheet of clay cut with a circular cutter and
let’s cut also with the cutter tool that you used to make the hole
for the magnet in the center, this way you get a kind of donut or
washer that you will stick on the back of
this concave dark violet piece that you have not baked yet stick it carefully on the base and now you can bake all the pieces following the manufacturer’s directions Next you are going to cover
the sides of the pendant, take a thin sheet of dark violet clay, cut a straight edge and cut a strip that is more or
less the same thickness as your pendant, or even a bit longer, since you will cut off the excess cut the end in bevel and now apply some liquid clay (or in
this case bake and bond) on the edge of the pendant. Since the pendant is already baked, you have to use liquid clay to stick some raw clay to it and now stick this strip all around and cut the end again in bevel attach the strip to the
edge and remove the seam with your
finger cut the excess at the back with your blade Make another decorative element of your pendant with yellow clay Cut several
circles with different sizes of cutters make yellow balls Bake again
all the pieces you have made once out of the oven and sand your pendant Use wet dry sandpaper and a little
soapy water, you do not need to throw as much soap as I did, some drops are enough. If you want to know
how to sand and buff your polymer clay pieces you can find the link in the video description box
and on the card that you can see in the upper right corner
of the screen. You must also sand the edges of the three concave pieces to remove the irregularities that
the cutters could have left on the edges Now that you have all the pieces
let’s assemble our pendant. These are the elements that you are going to need mark with a permanent marker the point where you are going to drill to assemble your pendant.
Use a drill bit for your manual drill that is the same thickness
as the buna cord that you’re going to use to assemble the pendant,
in this case it is 2 millimeters make a hole in this end and check that your cord fits inside calculate where the concave piece is going to be placed and also mark the point where you must drill to place the
other end of the rubber cord Drill with the same bit in
this case passing through the piece At the end of the cord place an O-ring Introduce it with the help of your
tweezers as you see in the image apply some super glue on the tip of the rubber cord which will go inside the hole that you have drilled,
put the cord into the hole and press a little until the
glue dries put another rubber ring on the other end and inside your largest concave piece with the help of the tweezers so that
your fingers don’t get stuck this end will be covered by
the other concave pieces that will go inside. Also put some super glue to place the magnet and the other part of the magnet will be stuck
also with glue at the base of the concave piece make holes in the yellow balls
the same thickness as the rubber cord that you are going to use, in this case
1 millimeter make three holes in the balls and
cut some pieces of rubber about two and a half centimeters. Put some glue on the end and introduce in the holes of the balls make three holes at the base of the smallest concave piece the same thickness
as the rubber thread, in this case one millimeter approximately lintroduce the three little balls and place them at different
heights we stick the ends to the bottom of the concave piece and
add more glue to stick it to the other piece of medium size. Do not glue it centered for a more interesting effect and glue inside the largest concave piece also asymmetrically and you have finished the assembly of
your pendant as you can see
it closes thanks to the magnets, so that the closure is hidden behind
your flower I hope you liked this tutorial
